Hawk & Stone designs and builds made to order furniture and spaces.  David O'Brien is the principal designer and craftsman that creates each piece. 

His appreciation for nature and wood has deep roots back in New England.  When most kids were playing video games he was out building forts and tree houses.  With access to an unlimited scrap bin at the lumberyard next to his house, the sky was the limit.

He started Hawk & Stone in a two car garage in Los Angeles in 2011.  With a word of mouth marketing plan and a dedication to perfection, the business has grown and expanded naturally.  He now works out of a large warehouse in South Central Los Angeles.  This is a fully functioning laboratory for prototyping new pieces of furniture.  He loves solving problems with beautiful solutions.  Each piece is made by hand with local sustainable materials.  They are made to be heirloom pieces that will be cherished and handed down to future generations.
